Today on Livin’ Local our guest is Kory Menken, the Executive Director of the Spearfish Economic Development Corporation. May 6-10 is National Economic Development Week and Kory talks with us about where he sees Spearfish heading in the next five years.

We’ll also learn of his background growing up in Rapid City is a small business family where his parents ran a carpet and furniture cleaning business. From there it was on to North Sioux City where Kory was tasked with helping that economy diversify after the departure of Gateway Computers.

We’ll also learn the specific areas Spearfish is focusing on to spur growth and attract new business to the city.
